AWS Immersion Training
Through our partnership, the Eshelman Institute and Amazon Web Services host AWS Immersion Trainings onsite at UNC.
If you are interested in participating in a furture program, submit an assessment form and our team will get in touch with you to learn more about your research!
What is an AWS Immersion Day?
AWS Immersion Days are a series of events that are designed to educate you about AWS products and services and help you develop the skills needed to build, deploy, and operate your infrastructure and applications in the cloud. Immersion Days leverage a modular content format and are structured to provide general overviews of a given service or solution. Hands on labs provide you with an immersive experience in the AWS console.
Immersion Days are held on campus at Beard Hall for free. Immersion trainings are usually half-day events, however, the schedule of the day will vary based on the content.
Why attend?
Whether you are new to AWS or an experienced user, you can learn something new at Immersion Day. These events are designed to help you develop the right skills to create new insights, enable new efficiencies, and make more accurate decisions.
Who should attend?
Immersion Days are designed for all PIs and research teams interested in using the AWS console for their research data needs. We encourage all members of a research team who will build, deploy, and operate the infrastructure to participate in the training.
How to register?
Interested participants can complete an assessment form to participate in a future training. Once you complete a form the Eshelman Institute will get in touch with you to learn more about your research.
